Local Peace Country Jumpstart Chapter is looking for families to help..
One in three Canadian families cannot afford to enroll their kids in organized sports and physical activity (Vision Critical, 2011) which means many kids are missing out on the benefits that come with organized play.
This is not necessary for families in the Grande Prairie Region. The local Peace Country Jumpstart Chapter has money and they want to help!
How can they help?
They get kids in the game by assisting with the costs associated with registration, equipment and/or transportation for sports and physical activity programming. They also lend support to unique initiatives aimed at increasing access to sports and physical activity programming.
There are families in our region that need support and we need your help to find them! Please download and print off a copy of the very-easy-to-fill-out application form and give it to someone that could use a little extra support.
Don't have a printer? Applications can be picked up and dropped off at the service desk at Canadian Tire.

Sport Council Memberships
Membership in the Grande Prairie Sport Council will provide you with networking opportunities, promotional support, advocacy and access to tools to help you achieve your mandates. We exist to support the growth and enhancement of sport and sport tourism in our area.
As a member you will influence the direction of the Sport Council and receive other benefits such as member prices to GP Sport Council events and workshops. For a list of upcoming workshops click here.
