Cross Country News

On Saturday, the cross country team traveled to Fostoria and competed in an invitational held at the high school.  This cold, windy October day didn’t stop the Mustangs from running with determination to get to the finish line. In the K-3rd race, Libby Barnett finished 5th overall out of 31 runners in a time of 3:50.  In the 4th-6th grade race, Jeremy Mahoney finished 4th overall out of 53 runners in a time of 7:07.   Jackson Krueger finished 9th overall in a time of 7:13.  Hannah Castor finished next for our team, in 15th place overall, in a time of 7:43.  Other runners included: Katie Oestreich (8:28) and Maddie Cleland (9:36).  All runners received a ribbon.  Our last race of the season is on Thursday, Oct. 16 in Gibsonburg.

Join us at Schooner Farms next Saturday, Oct. 18, from 3:00-6:00pm, for some fall-themed family fun. We'll have a scarecrow relay race, hay rides, live music, a pumpkin hunt, and pioneer beans by the campfire. There will also be a decorated pumpkin contest—create a masterpiece at home and bring it to show off at the party! The rain date for this event is Sunday, Oct. 19, at 3:00. Celebrate autumn at the farm with your MSBG friends! (For more info, click here.)

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, we will celebrate St. Martin's Day with a lantern-lit procession around the MSBG grounds followed by cookies and cocoa. Look in your child's mailbox next week for a letter about this special event.
