It is with deep regret that I must announce to you the decision to make redundant the position of General Manager with our Company.
As a subsidiary of DESIGNA Verkehrsleittechnik GmbH of Germany our organisation structure is constantly subject to review, as are all Subsidiaries.
It is the view of our Parent Company that whilst the responsibilities of the position of General Manager are necessary and important to the effective operation of our Company, our Company size does not warrant the dedicated position of General Manager.
Accordingly, Gemma Russell will cease employment with DESIGNA SABAR Pty Ltd on 5 November, 2014.
I would like to take this opportunity to assure all our Customers appropriate structural changes will be made within the Company to ensure the duties and responsibilities previously handled by Gemma are absorbed by appropriately qualified and experienced existing employees.
I would also like to confirm this decision is in no way reflective of the performance of Gemma in this role. Gemma’s strength in organisation matters, workplace relations, systems and procedures was clearly evident in our first years as a DESIGNA subsidiary. The Company will continue to benefit from many of the improvements that Gemma has implemented during her time as General Manager.
