Water, water all around.

Where did it all come from? DTM Acting Director Rick Carlson discusses the important research scientists at DTM are doing on water in his October 2014 Letter from the Director. 

Former DTM Director Sean Solomon

is awarded the National Medal of Science. Solomon, director of DTM from 1992 until 2012, will receive his award later this year at the White House.

New modeling studies from Alan Boss

published in The Astrophysical Journal demonstrate that most of the stars we see were born when unstable clusters of newly formed protostars broke up, leaving some unstable protostars to end up as single or binary stars.

DTM celebrated its Second Annual Postdoc Appreciation Day with an ice cream social on 17 September 2014.
Alan Linde traveled to Iceland as an invited lecturer to discuss strain measurements at the NEMOH Field School. 
Former DTM postdoc Steve Hauck selected to be the next Editor in Chief of the AGU Journal of Geophysical Research-Planets.
Timothy Rodigas gave a contributed talk at the, "30 Years of Beta Pic and Other Debris Disks Conference" in Paris.
Johanna Teske gave a talk at the Towards Other Earths II: The Star-Planet Connection Conference in Porto, Portugal.
New work from team including Conel Alexander found Earth's water is actually older than the Sun.
