ANNUAL MEETING


OKOGA's 2014 Annual Meeting will be held at the Waterford Marriott in Oklahoma City.  It will open with a Welcome Reception on Thursday, November 13, at 5:30 p.m.  On Friday, November 14, there will be a morning program filled with topics of interest to the oil and gas industry.  The meeting will adjourn after the luncheon.  

There is a room discount available at the Waterford Marriott if you are making reservations.  Please let us know and we will send you the information.

The “Global Frackdown” rally at the Oklahoma Capitol appeared to be more of a “Letdown”.

GLOBAL FRACKDOWN RALLY HELD TODAY


Press Release:  Chad Warmington, President of Oklahoma Oil & Gas Association, commented on the “Frackdown” held at the Oklahoma Capitol today,  “Let’s be clear about the objective of these groups: shutting down oil and gas production in America at all costs and putting thousands of hard-working Oklahomans out of work.”

After the "rally" today, a letter was delivered to Governor Fallin requesting that she issue an executive order to immediately halt all class II underground injection control (UIC) disposal wells.

TECHNICAL CONFERENCE HELD


As we reported last week, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission held its first technical conference regarding the Implementation of a Complaint Process & Adequacy of Current Commission Enforcement Powers on the Notice of Inquiry concerning the Oklahoma Underground Facilities Damage Prevention Act (Pipeline Safety/HB 2533) this week.

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission stated that all relevant information and comments have been uploaded to their website.

FORCED POOLING MEETING


Reminder: the next meeting on forced pooling will be held on Friday, October 17th, at 9:00 a.m., in Room 301, at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) in Oklahoma City.  
 

EARTHQUAKES: COORDINATING COUNCIL MEETS


NewsOK: Cooperation and coordination were the themes of the first meeting of the state’s new Coordinating Council on Seismic Activity, said Mike Teague, Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and Environment.
