Dare to Dream: Creating a God sized mission for your life

A sermon series and study to help us discern God’s dream for us and learn to live it out, prayerfully and enthusiastically.

This six installment series will start November 9 and continue through Dec. 21. 

If you'd like the church to order you a copy of the book, just ask your Sunday School leader (they are $11, if you are able). Or you can get a copy at most bookstores: Dare to Dream by Mike Slaughter.

Adult Sunday School classes will be held during both the 9am and 10:30am worship services.

 
- *NEW* Women's Bible Study -

An interest-gauging meeting will be held on Thursday Nov. 6 at 7pm in the GUM Library to determine the level of interest and availability for a new bible study geared toward women.  Meeting days/time and study topics will be discussed at this gathering.  Contact Julie Bills:  Julie@GUMonline.org for more info or if you are interested but can't make it to the meeting.
 
- Moms Bible Study -

Moms Bible Study is held on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 9:30am to 11am - childcare provided.

Partnership with East Ottawa Special Ministries
GUMchurch is seeking 6-8 people to serve and connect with EOSM at GUMchurch on Thursday evenings.

Feeding America Food Truck Nov. 14!



GUMchurch will host a Feeding America food truck and will invite our guests to stay for a spaghetti dinner and a celebration concert with great worship music. Plan to join the fun and connect with our community!

Regular Sunday School classes will not be offered on Sunday Nov. 2.
However, nursery will be available and 3-6 year olds are invited to meet Miss Nikki in the back of the sanctuary after Children's Time for some fun activities. (Parents can pick up their kiddos after service from the 3rd/4th grade classroom off the gym.)

GUM Kids Offerings Support 2 Projects!
 
In September, GUM kids voted to use their weekly offerings to support Kids Food Basket as their local mission and Fairfield Children's Home in Zimbabwe as their global mission. Look for the thermometer in the gym starting Nov. 9th to see how we are doing toward our goal for the year of collecting $150!

A group for 5th and 6th graders to connect, have fun, and grow spiritually. In November, this group will meet at 6:30 on Nov. 9 and at 4:30 on Nov. 23. On 11/23, there will be a pizza dinner at church and then the group will head to Degage to tour the facility and deliver the blankets collected from the blanket drive.

$28,000 has been raised to put a new roof on the United Methodist Community House in Grand Rapids.

2015 Youth/Adult Mission Trip Fundraiser
Look for an envelope in the back of the sanctuary & return it with the amount of money that corresponds to the number on it. Work with your family or groups to fill the larger amounts.

Benefits the June 24-28, 2015 mission trip to Homes of Hope in Ensenada, Mexico. (This is were GUMchurch's Carolyn (Courtade) Buck and her family are serving).
