Name: Mama Kitty aka Lakewood Blue
Owner: Katherene & Tom Hough, Casa Loma
Age: 3ish Years
My people call me Mama Kitty, because I showed up on their porch as a pregnant, scared stray. After I had my babies and they were all adopted, my people took me to a place where they 'fixed' me. So I won't have to do that again!
Likes: Chasing squirrels, sitting on the porch watching the world go by, long naps and sunning my belly in the back yard
Dislikes: Being locked inside a house alone, possums and speeding cars

Nosh: Mot Hai Ba
By Mindy Stone
|
|
|
Nestled in a quiet residential street — just off Skillman in Lakewood — is a trendy, innovative Vietnamese concept called Mot Hai Ba. After a quick Google search, I understand the name comes from “1,2,3” in Vietnamese (as indicated on the sign above the front door) and is also derived from a toast often heard in Ho Chi Minh City.
