BFS is pleased to announce the formation of Kids' Chance of Vermont, the local chapter of a national program offering college scholarships to the children of injured workers. Attorney Heidi Groff is vice-president of the Vermont chapter.
Since its creation in 1988, Kids’ Chance has distributed more than $5-million in scholarship funds to more than 2,000 recipients. Programs in 26 states fund need-based scholarships for families who face financial insecurity as a result of a calamitous work-related injury. In our next newsletter, we'll have more details about the first scholarships for deserving Vermont students.
