ODFW Needs Your Input


The ODFW Commission is recruiting a new director for the Agency and seeks constituent input.  As you know, the Agency is facing some critical budget decisions and a number of valuable technical support programs (and staff) are on the line.  It's important they hear from councils, districts, and your partners about the value technical field staff bring to your restoration projects.  The survey can be found online:

Four Councils Merge in the Rogue Basin:  As of January 1, 2015, Bear Creek Watershed Council, Little Butte Creek Watershed Council, Upper Rogue Watershed Association and the Stream Restoration Alliance of the Middle Rogue will merge, effectively creating The Rogue River Watershed Council.

Don't Let it Loose Media Contest:  The Oregon Invasive Species Council invites high school students and their teachers to participate in a contest to help spread the “Don’t Let it Loose” message.  Details: 
  • There are 12 total prizes; 6 for students, 6 teachers
  • In addition to funds for scholarships, all winners will also receive a one year membership to the Native Plant Society of Oregon
  • Entries can either be a static image or a short movie, and will be judged on their ability to help convey our message
