Oct. 28 Seminar

Climate Change in the Northwest

With last summer's increase in wildfires, global warming's likely effects in the Northwest are becoming increasingly discussed. This panel discussion will analyze local climate change trends in our region, and give insight into how these will shape the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. Hear about current local efforts underway to prepare for these changes, and learn more about what actions to take to make a difference in the future of regional climate change.

Panelists include Amy Snover, Director at the UW Climate Impacts Group; Crystal Raymond, Seattle City Light; and Rhys Roth, Director of the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure at Evergreen State College.

Town Hall from 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Tickets: $5 at the door and at Brown Paper Tickets
Doors open: 6:15 pm  (Light refreshments will be served.)

What's Next?

We will be setting up times to visit with our current grantees and get a close-up look at their work...and maybe even roll up our sleeves and lend a hand! If you would like to be notified about these future trips, please let Lee know. (lee 'at' sustainablepath.org)

And yes it's true...time to start thinking about our 2015 seminar series. Calling all those who like to discuss current topics, research potential speakers and develop a list of potential seminars. Flexible time commitment....and we feed our volunteers really well! Contact Lee if you are interested in this opportunity.

Coming to the office for a meeting? Dial "0052" on the door phone (Madison St. entrance) and we'll buzz you in.
