A lot is going on in the month of November!

Veterans' Day

November 11th, Veterans' Day is much more than having a day off from school. This day is a time to recognize the end of hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany. November 11, 1918, is known as "the war to end all wars".

Thanksgiving is also approaching

Thursday November 27th, will be the national holiday celebrated. Many give thanks for the blessing of the harvest and the new year to come. It is a time to be thankful and appreciative! Thanksgiving also has historical roots in religious and cultural traditions!

Movember otherwise known as 'No Shave November' is a month where men enjoy growing out their beard. Many people do not know that this movement began in Australia in 2003 to raise awareness for Prostate Cancer. Although this can be a fun month-long event, the true purpose has much more meaning. Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in the US and reported to have an estimate of 233,000 new cases in 2014 alone.
