Only 277 Days until NAT'L MUSTARD DAY ...
Shakespeare & Mustard

Twenty-Eight Years Ago Today...

It was 2:30 a.m. on October 28, 1986. My beloved Red Sox had just lost Game Seven of the World Series. I was crushed, despondent, and totally lost. Unable to sleep, I drove to an all-night supermarket where I wandered the aisles, looking for the meaning of life.

“I need a hobby, something to take my mind off of the pain of last night’s tragic loss. I mustard collect something. What shall it be?”

As I pushed my empty cart down the condiment aisle, I found myself in front of the mustards and I heard The Voice: “If you collect us, they will come.”

I did, you have, and 5,700 mustards later, the rest is condiment history. Thank you, mustard lovers, for making this improbable dream come true by supporting America’s favorite condiment.

3 Monkeys

The Monkeys are Back

We are often out of a few mustards; that happens. But when we are out of Three Monkeys -- the 2012 Grand Champion and three-time Gold Medal Sweet Hot Mustard -- it’s more than a minor inconvenience, it’s a disaster. We were out for a few days but now have a generous supply of fresh Three Monkeys Sweet & Spicy Mustard (TMM100).
Happy Anniversary to the Curator & Mrs. Mustard

Another Anniversary,
Sweet Sixteen

Happy 16th Wedding Anniversary, this Saturday, to Mrs. Mustard. Thanks for putting up with my often lame mustard jokes for sixteen wonderful years. We’ll celebrate with an extra dollop of Dijon.

This week’s newsletter is short and sweet. Just like Mrs. Mustard.
