IF's MOBILE CINEMA PROJECTS IN CONGO

As we strongly believe in the power of film we have set up three big outreach projects in DR Congo that show tailor-made educational films and documentaries through travelling ‘Mobile Cinema’s’.
All these projects are still running and bring awareness to the Congolese population.

With our most recent film Justice for Sale, we have set up a nation-wide campaign to address and bring a halt to the impunity that is widespread in Congo’s justice system.
In these campaigns we use media tools like: educational films, public Mobile Cinema screenings, smaller workshop screenings, radio debates and sketches, TV soap-series and cartoon-books.

These last two weeks we travelled together with colleague Nynke Douma, to film two more films to be added to the campaign. Land issues are a huge problem in DR Congo. These two new films show people what their rights are when they want to buy land or have land.
