Our next meet-up is Thursday (11/13) at 7PM
We will discuss the opportunity to collaborate with Tom Tom Festival around creative collisions. This event will occur during Tom Tom and will pair artists and designers from different disciplines (sound, movement, light, space, surface). Each "team" will be given some parameters (location, materials, theme) to create a piece that will be performed or displayed during TomTom. These collisions offer an amazing opportunity to meet and work with artists across Charlottesville.

:NOTES FROM LAST TIME
At the last meeting we discussed ways the Incubator can support artists. We learned about a few projects members are pursuing (illustrated novel inspired by the real-life nurse who seems to be immune to Ebola, a portrait project of composite histories), and considered an art-focused book group with Andy Warhol's A to B and Back Again as our initial book

The Arts Incubator a cross between a salon and a support group. We are a diverse community of artists and creative thinkers who meet monthly to talk about ideas, support each other, learn new skills, and occasionally share a meal. Programs include open critiques, Pecha Kucha nights, creative collisions, skill sharing, and live or streamed lectures.

The Incubator is open to all and creates programming based on needs identified by the group.
