The Bible in LESHO
Did you hear that? YES!!!! 44 Bible stories in LESHO!!!! After 2 years of working on this project it's complete! The Deaf in Honduras now have access to reading the Bible in their very own language. Jessie and Nancy have poured hours into this Kingdom work, and we're grateful to them and everyone who helped get this done! Check out 1 of the 44 stories here.

The Moskitia Revisited
They may not be able to hear sounds, but they surely can hear language and most importantly LOVE. We revisited this far-flung region of Honduras and hosted a day camp. It was an intense time of teaching and loving. Why do we go to such lengths to reach so few? Because it's worth it.

Service Project
Who knew cleaning a mucky lagoon could be so much fun: Yes, it's true, we've went off the grid here at Signs of Love...always for grand reasons! We helped this community clean their 'lagoon' of 'trash' - a vital health project as the villagers term it. One word: AMAZING. We're grateful for the brave and adventurous team that came to take on this trash-task. They represented Northwestern Mutual, The North Shore Group, remarkably well - they worked and served like nothing we've ever seen before. This team was off-the-charts amazing, and we can't wait to do another service project with them next year! And yes, that's a crocodile skull. This village loved us well, and we pray that they will know how well He loves them! Onward in LOVING and LIVING large - J10.10 style. Take a peak into more photos in this video.

Leadership Training
Equip & Send: We had a 3-day intensive training retreat where we selected various representatives from the villages where we host programs. There has been some incredible lasting outcomes from this intense time of training. Needless to say, you'll be hearing about more of these! To read more about this incredible time, click here.

2T2.2 In Action
As it should be: These 3 were awarded a "History Cloth" of their own for learning the 42 chronological Bible stories represented on the cloth. Now they'll be able to go and teach, 2Tim2.2 style!

Prayer Matters
The long haul: The picture on the left was taken about 11 years ago after Robin scooped Franklin out of the stream he was spear fishing in. This was only the second time we'd seen him, and Robin remembers praying for him the very moment this photo was taken. Her prayer was that he would grow up to know Jesus Christ and be a fisher of men. The photo on the right was taken in June at this year's camp after Travis led him in a prayer of acknowledging Christ as his Savior. Travis and Franklin came and found Robin, and Franklin shared this news as tears streamed down his face. Prayers do get answered, miracles happen, and mountains are moved...we just need to keep believing.

emPOWERed
Power. This is something that is misused everywhere, and it’s misuse is especially prevalent in the developing world. We have seen time and time again how its misuse destroys lives, and shrivels the hearts of those in its proximity. We have also seen how Power can make the darkness flee, and restore these shriveled hearts! Without its misuse, it is something to behold, something to humbly strive for, something to attain. Homeschool Lovin'
As you can see, these students LOVE their teacher. They've done wonderfully as they meet every Friday for their lessons. We'll be celebrating their 6th grade graduation in November! Graduating from the 6th grade means a lot in Honduras. Its weight would be like having a high school diploma here in the states. For these 5 students it means even more - without this homeschool they wouldn't have accomplished this milestone.

Awesomeness
Jessie has been leading this village in a study of what makes a New Testament church as they transition into becoming one! It was a privilege for us to baptize 2 deaf as they decided to make their decision for Christ public to encourage others to turn to Jesus! This is what it's all about right here...eternal differences being made.

Fundraising Ingenuity
These people had a goal; they needed to raise money for their service trip with Signs of Love. What did they do? They hosted a comedy night! What a FUN way to raise money. These friends at Northwestern Mutual (The North Shore Group) in Massachusettes have reminded us the sky's the limit when it comes to creativity in fundraising!

Spreading Love
Exercise in leadership: At our Leadership Training retreat, the participants spent time at the local nursing home for the elderly. They donned a doggy costume, painted fingernails, played games, and as you can see made faces full of smiles. What a memorable experience for them to learn that being Deaf doesn't mean they are limited from sharing Christ's love! Whenever we serve, it feels like we get so much more than we give.

Celebrating 15 Years
By His grace: We celebrated with a big birthday party bash. We had 1 representative on stage from each village where we host programs, and one of our youngest from a newer villages blew out the '15' candles. We also honored Amanda and Jessie for their dedication and love that is absolutely inexplicable. One word summary: priceless. Watch a video highlighting the past 15 years, and check out the photos here.

A 2,000 Year-old Story
The parable of The Lost Sheep: It was first shared over 2,000 years ago...and it's still being shared today. The man on the right is Orlan acting out the parable at one of our village programs. (Orlan is Deaf, as is the 'sheep' he's carrying. 10 years ago Orlan barely knew LESHO, and didn't know any Bible stories - and look at him now!)
Life + God = WOW
