How Poodle May Affect Your Site
Well, my neck might still hurt from the reversals but it's official. That doggie named problem is a really big thing. It affects many things - and not just payment processors - and it's coming your way very soon.
PayPal Officially Announces Changes & All Payment Processors Are Affected
DrByte talked to PayPal yesterday and they have decreed that the changes will be required by the end of the week.
I got a phone call from someone in the know yesterday and DrByte announced it on the forum some hours later. You can read the full official post here:

In reality this is a symptom of something much larger than PayPal.
I received an email yesterday that recommends turning off the problem on servers - disabling the use of the specific SSL bit. I hesitate to do this because I don't know how many folks this might affect - but what it does mean is that any programming bit that requires something called curl and all secure (https) processes are affected. And that means all the major processors such as authorize.net and linkpoint. So if you are on my hosting, please contact me for a checkup. I will have to turn this thing off on the server - if you talk to me ahead of time, your site will keep working throughout these changes. If you have a joomla or wordpress site, there's an outside chance that something on your site may stop working.
Nothing like a bit of panic to spice up a week!
To have your sites payment processors (PayPal, Authorize.net, LinkPoint) updated or if you are a customer of mine just pay with this link:
It's only $25 - https://www.teamwiztech.com/hosting/cart.php?a=add&pid=18
