Bonsai Master Workshop
November 20th, 7:00am - 4:00pm
A small number of ZaCSA Members have been invited to attend a Bonsai Master Workshop to visit his trees as he prepares them for winter. ZaCSA Group Spotlight: Piecemakers
Piecemakers is a quilting and sewing group open to all types of crafters who wish to bring in DIY or Pinterest projects. There are knowledgeable members who can guide you on where to find help or materials. Anyone who wants to learn to sew or is accomplished in their craft is encouraged to come. TANSU: FEATURED ITEM
This month, East Meets West Gift Shop is featuring Japanese tansu, which is the word for chest, chest of drawers, or cupboard. Around Meiji era 1860-1910, tansu were made for different uses and purposes such as for storing kimono and futon, for kitchen cupboard, for keeping samurai sword, and they even made chest for traveling. All the tansu are portable, movable, and functional. We have three in stock: one with kimono style storage, and two with large upper storage and mirrors. The hardware features Japanese design. The East Meets West Gift Shop is a community service project of ZaCSA and staffed by ZaCSA volunteers. All proceeds go towards ZaCSA Community Grants and Scholarships.
