Consumer Council for Water

We continue to successfully put customers at the heart of the water industry. In this edition of On Tap we highlight some of our recent activities.

Written Complaints to Water Companies Fall

Customer complaints to water companies have plunged for the sixth successive year – but the Consumer Council for Water (CCWater) has warned the tide could quickly turn against the industry if it fails to deliver affordable bills. (Read more)

CCWater gets new responsibilities

As a result of the Water Act, CCWater has been given new responsibilities to represent customers as the new water market is being developed. We will also represent customers on an on-going basis on charges issues and to help the customers of new entrants to the market. (Read more)

CCWater’s relationship and work with the media is absolutely vital to ensure we continue to provide a strong voice for water consumers on issues which affect them. (Read more)

Draft decisions on bill price limits
