- This month we carshared a total of 32,261 kms.
- The Smart Car in Nelson had the best gas mileage this month at $0.06 per km!
- This month we had an average gas usage of $0.13 per km so there will not be a  gas surcharge this month.

November is board member recruitment month.  If you have ever wanted to help out or know the workings of your carshare coop this is the time.  Contact the office for more details on how to become a KCC board member and help make your coop a stronger voice for all.

Member News 

  • Board Members needed:  The KCC would like to thank Cassandra Scheibe for her long term commitment to the board.  Cassandra is leaving Nelson and will no longer be able to sit as a board member for the KCC.  Cassandra helped over see many important changes in the carshare over her 3 year term as board member.  Thanks Cassandra for making our carshare a better, stronger and more efficient organization.  With Cassandra leaving this does leave some holes in the KCC board.  Any member that might be interested in becoming a KCC board member is asked to contact the office for more information.
  • Mobile members needed: The KCC has a new mobile site ready to go online.  But before we rollout the full mobile site we would like some members to pretest our mobile site and give feed back to our programmer.  If you are a mobile user of the carshare and feel you would like to help in this matter please contact the office.
  • Winter Tires: Most of our KCC vehicles now have their winter tires on.  If you are planning a trip over our high passes just contact Andrea our fleet coordinator or your branch coordinator to be sure your vehicle has the appropriate tires on.
  • Winter driving has come to the Koots: Winter is here in the Kootenays, at least in the high passes.  Be sure to adjust your driving now to our winter conditions.  Allow more time for your trip and watch for changing road conditions.  Lets all be safe this winter.
