Cold Weather Is Coming!
Here are a few tips to keep Fido and Fluffy happy: 

As we transition from Fall to Winter, there are a few helpful cold weather tips you should know to help you keep your furry friends happy and healthy throughout the colder temperatures. As the snow starts to fly, we often use salt on our sidewalks and driveways. Sometimes salt can be harmful to your dogs paws- it is important to frequently check Fido's paws for any bleeding or cracks in the pads of the feet. Wiping off the paws after they have been outside is a great idea too!
Winter means cold and when the temperature drops that can cause furry critters to hide in places they normally would not- like cats! Give your car a whack or two on the hood to give any cats a warning to get a move on before starting up your car. Try to avoid shaving the hair off of longer haired breeds. They need their fur coats to stay warm in the freezing temperature. If you have a short haired dog, consider getting him or her a coat or sweater to help avoid a chill. And last, but certainly not least,  never ever leave your pet in a cold car. Just like in the summer heat, a car is dangerous for your pet. Vehicles hold in the cold temperature and can cause your loyal friend to freeze in a very short amount of time.
