November 2014
Dear <<First Name>>,

There are many ways that we can honor our veterans on Veterans Day. There are tributes, remembrance ceremonies, even a concert on the Mall this evening that will be broadcast by HBO.

But I think one of the best ways to recognize our military veterans is to record their stories on video so that we may learn and grow from them as a nation.
Rear Admiral David Nash serving in Vietnam
It was a privilege to be hired once again for a second installment of the Society of American Military Engineers video history project. Their goal was to record the stories of several of the organization’s previous leaders to ensure that their stories, both of their military service and service to SAME, could be shared and preserved with future members and leaders of the society before it was too late. (And sadly, in fact, two of the participants from our first installment project in 2008 have passed away.)

What I love about these stories is that they are all so honest, sometimes humorous, and share a love for the military and supporting our country.

Do you have former or senior leaders in your organization whose stories need to be captured to protect the legacy of your organization? Consider a documentary video project. Call us if you’d like to learn more – we’d be glad to help!

On behalf of everyone at DMB Pictures, we salute all of our veterans on this special day.

Warmly,
Debbie Brodsky
