The information revolution, like the industrial revolution, has dramatically changed what it is that makes a person valuable to enterprises and to fellow citizens. We cannot know with certainty which roles machines will take over and which will remain human roles, but I will make some rough predictions. I will also suggest several major changes that might make schooling, especially K-12, and life-long education more helpful to individual students and to society.
