Ministry Update • November, 2014
Dear Friend,

In the past few days I was often singing these lines to myself: "... and I stand, I stand in awe of You, yes, I stand, I stand in awe of You. Holy God to Whom all praise is due, I stand in awe of You." As I see the work of the Lord and as I experience day after day His love care, I cannot have any other reaction than to admire and adore Him.
Receive with love the latest news about the new things.

New students in the Bible Institute
In recent weeks, new students arrived at the Bible Institute: 59 students from 15 countries! Poland, Germany, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Canada... No, it doesn’t feel like the Tower of Babel at all. :-)
We are very grateful for each one of these students.
Bogi originally came here as a camper, and then a camp volunteer many times. Now she is one of our Bible Institute students. Listen as she shares her story. Isn’t this inspiring?
“Ever since I was a little girl, Word of Life Hungary has had an influential part in my life. God used this ministry in my life, that I may know Him and give Him my life.
I didn’t grow up in a Christian family. I was 12 when I first came to Word of Life summer camp. It was then that I first heard the Gospel and accepted Jesus as my personal Savior. When I was fifteen years old, I dedicated my life to Him and, in the last five years, every summer, I came back as a camp counselor.
It is only by the grace of God that I am at the Bible Institute now. A year ago I went through a very difficult period. I could not understand why these things were happening to me.
I was angry at God, and let worldly temptations separate me from Him, wasting almost a year that I could’ve spent with Him. By summer, I had reached a low point and I said to God, “I'm not going to serve in Tóalmás this summer.” The following week, at least 15 former campers wrote to me, "Bogi, will you be at camp this summer? I hope you will be my counselor,” and these messages kept coming until finally I said, "OK, God, I'll go." God brought me face to face with all of my sins and all of my twisted values. Let's just say that He completely tore me apart so that He could build me up once again. I prayed that He would show me where He would like me to be and wherever it was, I would go there.
The next day, I learned that I was not accepted at the university and my first thought was that I should come to the Bible Institute. Earlier, my parents did not want me to come to the Bible Institute and I thought that they wouldn’t support this idea, but I knew that if it is really from God, there would be no obstacles in front of me. And there was not.
Finally, I feel that my life has meaning, and I ask God for strength, that my life can show my parents what it means to be a Christian, that I may be a living testimony to them. I am privileged to spend a year studying the Word of God and learning from brilliant teachers. I would like to take advantage of every minute of every day and I thank God that I can be here.
Bible Institute Opening Weekend
Welcome a new sister in the family of God
We start each new school year with evangelism; teaching it in the classroom and also in practical application. For 2 days, our entire staff and students took to the streets of Budapest to share the love of God. And since then, a small team continues every Monday and Friday to evangelize.
Oana, one of our students from Romania has a wonderful testimony about this that shows us the greatness of God.
“Being able to come to the Bible Institute in Hungary is a big answer to prayer for me! I was really glad to be on the Monday evangelism team too, but during my first time doing street evangelism I was a little scared. I don’t speak English very well yet and, of course, I don’t speak any Hungarian. Most of the other international students on our team were praying that they would meet someone that spoke English, but I
was praying that I would meet someone that spoke Romanian. I was so excited when God answered my prayer! Not only did He bring a Romanian speaker to me to talk to, but the lady was ready to believe! I explained the Good News to her, she understood, and she accepted it; all in Romanian!”

New rooms and bathrooms
During the second week of October, 12 brothers and sisters came from America to bring us a new dorm and new bathrooms...
3 years ago, our leadership team started praying for a solution for our dorms that were in desperate need of renovation, after many years of use. Since then, due to God’s wonderful provision, we have been able to renovate 7 dorm rooms and 6 bathrooms, so that we have appropriate housing for the young people during camp, the students at the Bible Institute, and even our guests.

There are still 9 dorm rooms and bathrooms awaiting renovation. We need international labor groups and Hungarian professionals alike. If you are interested in sharing in our ministry in this way, please contact us.
Check out a few videos of former work groups on our website!
Isn’t it wonderful to see God's great deeds? Let me encourage you to stop for a moment and look upon, wonder at, and praise God Who loves us so much to care for us so well.
