What's up? 

Missions Sunday on November 16. Next Sunday is our annual celebration of our "being sent." We earnestly believe that God has called us to joyfully live out and communicate the Gospel to our world. Don't miss this special morning (ONE SERVICE at 10:00 a.m.). There will be representatives from more than 20 different agencies and ministries present so that your family and friends can connect with them individually to discover ways of personal obedience as you seek to give, serve, send and go.

Features:

  • Pick up a "Bag of Joy" to launch our annual holiday drive to provide area foster children with a joyful Christmas
  • Personal discovery of ways you can be involved in missions
  • John Upton, Executive Director of the Baptist General Association of Virginia, will be preaching for us

More exciting news! Through God's grace and provision, Northstar has received another significant gift - this time of $24,000 for our Next Location Fund. Please thank Him today for how He continues to provide, and pray a special blessing upon the givers for their obedience, joy and generosity.

Celebrate salvation and faith
Our next baptism service is scheduled for Missions Sunday, November 16. If you're a Christian and have not been baptized and desire to be obedient in this area, fill out our baptism interest form.


Connect at Moe's!

THIS SUN // AFTER CHURCH

Northstar's Connect ministry (college) invites you to storm Moe's with us after the 11:00 service this Sunday (about 1:00)! BYOC (Bring Your Own Cash). We'd love to have families there as well to meet our college students and fellowship with one another!

GAPsGiving

Fieldstone Church 

The fifth annual celebration of GAPsGiving (Thanksgiving potluck!) will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Fieldstone Church. Mark your calendars and find your fat pants. Come bring some friends and food!

December Nights launch to feature "A Night of Christmas" concert with Northstar children!

December Nights is right around the corner, and this year will begin with a special Christmas concert led by the Northstar Band. Northstar kids will lead us in the first few songs! If you would like your child to participate..

Women's Gathering
This is a great opportunity to meet, get to know and worship with other women at Northstar and be an encouragement to one another. The event will be from 9am-4pm but if you can only make it for part of the day, we would still love for you to come!

MISSIONS SUNDAY

Partners in the Gospel


On Sunday, November 16, we'll have ONE SERVICE together, and we'll welcome representatives from different agencies and ministries as we celebrate our partnerships with others to make the love of Jesus Christ known around the world. Mark your calendars today for this special Sunday!

 
 

WILL YOU COMMIT TO SERVE? 

We're looking for about 30 new volunteers! Our existing volunteers are incredible, but we'd like to add some fresh faces (and arms and legs). Whether it's greeting members and guests at the door, helping with setup or tear down or even putting pens on the seats in the auditorium, there are a lot of tasks on Sunday morning that are staffed entirely by volunteers. Would you consider serving?

DECEMBER NIGHTS

REST. REFLECT. REJOICE. RENEW

December Nights has become somewhat of a tradition around Northstar Church.  During the month of December we don’t have Sunday morning church. We move our services to the evenings, and we focus on the theme of Rest. Reflect. Rejoice. Renew.  It’s a beautiful season to refocus our spirits on Him who makes all things new. 
  • December 7: A Night of Christmas concert led by Northstar Band and Children at Blacksburg High School
  • December 14, 21, 28 - Meeting at the old Main Street Baptist Church building, downtown Christiansburg each Sunday evening
