RV Living and Transitioning
Have you ever played the game, “Sardines?”  It is a variation of “Hide and Seek” where just one person hides and everyone else seeks them out.  If a person finds the “hider” they join them until there is only one person left seeking and everyone else is packed together in the hiding place like sardines.  If you haven’t played it you should at your next get together.  It works best in a dark house.  This is also what it feels like to move 6 people into 300 sqft of living space.  It can feel like we are packed in like sardines; but most of the time it is great.  We are blessed to have this as an option for our family.  We will be traveling from the east coast (New Jersey) to the west coast (California) for the next 6 months stopping to see partner families and churches, our own families, and seeing parts of the US we feel are important to see before we move the family to Australia.
Our October has been about transitioning and finishing up things in Indianapolis.  Shannon and I worked (coordination/officiating/ reception set up and tear down) two of our final three weddings that we have scheduled.  We have been coordinating and performing weddings for the last 6 years so it is a bittersweet time to close out this part of our lives.
We had the privilege to preach at Two Cities in Lafayette, IN the last Sunday of October.  This is a great group of people within our Presbytery and we enjoyed our time there.  Please pray for them as they continue to ministry to the people of Purdue University and greater Lafayette.

Upcoming Events:
We will be in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City areas from November 20th through November 28th.  Shannon will have a booth at Heart of Tulsa to display her jewelry during the first week-end.  Please prayer for opportunities to share about what God is doing in Perth and how people can partner with us during this time.  I will be preaching at City Pres in OKC on November 23rd.  I am really excited to have this opportunity.  Then we will spend thanksgiving with my parents and sister’s family, plus tons of extended aunts, uncles and cousins families.  It will be a great time of work and resting.
We will be back in Indy for the First Friday at the Harrison Center.  Shannon has an individual show in The City Gallery with all new work in a new medium for her.  I love how she is stretching herself as an artist.  The show will be on December 5th (her birthday).  The name of the show is Here and There.  When the show concludes Shannon will be moving out of her studio (she has had one for the last 8 years).  This will be a hard time so please pray for comfort for her.
Partner Update:
We are currently at 70% of our monthly budget and about 60% of special gifts to help us move to Perth.  It is awesome the way God continues to provided.  If you have been thinking and praying about partnering with us but haven’t yet, please consider joining us during the month of November.   If you have any questions, we would love to talk with you.  Our goal is to be fully funded by January 2015, that way we are just wrapping up the Visa process during the first months of 2015 and helping Braden graduate from Herron High.

The Hinkle Family is headed to Perth, Australia to plant churches with the WPC.
