Startups burn more money after Series A. Capital-efficient companies we admire.

Companies we admire

Hi,

With the current frothy financing environment, the increase in billion dollar valuations and the buzz/media attention mega-deals get, it's easy to mistake raising venture capital with success.

So we started compiling a list of companies that we look up to and which we think should be celebrated more.  Here's the list so far:
  1. Veeva Systems
  2. Tableau
  3. Indeed
  4. Mojang
  5. Shutterstock
  6. Wayfair
  7. Mailchimp
These companies built real businesses first with real revenues. Those that ultimately exited were among venture's most capital efficient exits. Some are completely revenue-funded (Mailchimp, Mojang)

Who else would you add to the list?  Leave a comment here with your recommendations.

Have a great week ahead.
