Well... I guess that's a wrap for the year -
At our last work day, we removed the remaining summer plants, planted more cover crops, and gathered leaves for composting. Hopefully, we've given the garden a good start for the spring!
Before looking too far into the future, let's look back and reflect. Over the past 11 months, 219 visitors (regular and newcomers), helped grow 19 different crops -- producing more than 60 pounds of organic fruits and vegetables.
Whoa.. that's pretty nice teamwork - so THANK YOU for volunteering, supporting, staying in the loop, and being a part of this project!
Visually, we were able to capture some of these moments through two different perspectives: adults; and kids.
An informal get-together to round out the year is planned for the evening of November 15th. RSVP if interested in attending.
In closing, just as a heads up, our garden activities won't start back up until February. That's when we'll start planning for the year (i.e., what to plant, garden work days, events, etc.). Until then, enjoy the excuse winter gives us to add an extra pound (or 5) of personal insulation ;-)
That's it for now,
see you in the Spring!
Putting into your mouth what the Earth has grown is perhaps your most direct connection to [it].
