You know what that means...

Tasty pet-friendly recipes!

That’s right, whether you have a cute kitten, playful pup or a bouncing bunny there’s a recipe here for them...

Kitty cookies

 

Ingredients:

  • 450g of ground turkey
  • 1/4 Cup of parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 Cup of finely crushed crackers
  • 1/4 Cup of powdered milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon of Brewer's yeast
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of salt

Directions:

  • Using your hands, mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. 
  • Shape the mix into individual golf ball-sized nuggets, and arrange them in a non-stick baking pan.
  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes until the balls are nicely browned.
  • Cool before serving. Freeze the leftover balls and reheat in microwave when needed.

(You could also buy some Christmas cookie cutters and make them into festive turkey biscuits)
 

Cupcakes

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter (natural / sugar-free version)
  • 3 cups of porridge oats
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

Directions:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prep mini muffin tin with non-stick spray.
  • Mash bananas in a large bowl.
  • Add water, egg, and peanut butter.
  • In a food processor, pulse oats and baking powder until it becomes fine (like flour).
  • Add dry ingredients to banana mixture.
  • Pour into mini muffin pan(s) until 3/4 full.
  • Sprinkle each pupcake with a few extra oats.
  • Bake 20 minutes, rotating once.
  • Leave to cool then treat your lucky pup to delicious PUPCAKES!

 

Bunny berry drops! (Suitable for all rodents)


Ingredients:

  • 2 Strawberries
  • 1 peeled apple
  • 1 Celery stick
  • 2/3 cup of white flour
  • 1/2 cup of water

Directions:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees. Dice and chop all ingredients into small pieces and pour into a medium sized bowl. Smush ingredients until a mush is formed.
  • Place teaspoon sized treats onto a cooking sheet about 1 inch apart. Place in oven and bake for 6-10 minutes or until brown. 

When done, let it cool for 3 minutes and then feed this tasty treat to your cuddly little buddy!
