Prioritisation of reviews

As you are hopefully aware, Cochrane Oral Health Group has been undertaking an extensive prioritisation exercise to identify a core portfolio of the most clinically important titles to maintain on The Cochrane Library.
 
After defining 8 areas of dentistry and fitting 234 existing titles within the scope of those areas, COHG contacted all authors of Cochrane titles relevant to these areas for their opinion of which reviews they thought were most important clinically.
 
COHG then analysed the authors’ rankings, and the resulting lists of the titles were ratified and discussed by panels of experts, who also identified new titles to be developed by COHG to complete the evidence base required in dentistry.
 
Beneath you will find a list of all existing titles identified to form COHG's core portfolio to be maintained on The Cochrane Library. Please note that this list is not definitive, as it will be subject to periodic revision over the coming years as new interventions requiring review emerge.

Editorial base update

COHG's Managing Editor, Luisa Fernandez Mauleffinch gave birth in August to a new baby girl called Martha. Luisa will return to the editorial base in October 2015 after her maternity leave.

In the interim, COHG welcomes the addition of Laura Macdonald to the team. Laura is an experienced Cochrane Managing Editor who will be leaving the Cochrane Bone, Joint and Muscle Trauma Group to join COHG for the next year, and the editorial team look forward to working alongside her over the coming year until Luisa's return.
 
 

Next title consideration meeting for The Cochrane Library

If you would like to submit a new title proposal for consideration at the next new titles meeting in April 2015, please follow these instructions:
- Fill in a review proposal form, which can be found here:[DOC]
- Include PDF copies of at least two randomized controlled trials which meet the inclusion criteria of the proposed review
- Include a CV from the lead author
