Christmas By Zion
This year we are teaming up with People To People Ministries so that we can more efficiently target and distribute gifts to those who are truly in need.  We will still have Christmas trees set up in Rooms 100 & 200 with tags on them for purchasing gifts.  All gifts (left unwrapped please and with tags attached) must be returned to Zion by Sunday, 11/30.   Thanks for your help with this valuable ministry!
Volunteers are needed
Volunteers are needed to help move, set-up and distribute toys for the People To People Ministries Christmas Toy Project on Sunday, Dec. 7th - Tuesday, Dec. 9th.  You can volunteer by calling 330-262-1662 X 213, or by mailing a volunteer form to People To People Ministries.  Those forms can be found in Rooms 100 & 200, or by going to the People To People website.

What happened to Harvest Home?  For the past several years, Zion has been providing groceries for 100 families in our community during the Thanksgiving season.  We would like to assure you that this project is alive and well, but it is being moved to the spring and will center around the Easter holiday season.  Watch for more information on this valuable project in the November Voice and beginning this February.                   The Social Ministry Committee

Scripture Readings
for November 2, 2014
All Saints Sunday

Revelation 7:9-17
All Saints celebrates the baptized people of God, living and dead, who are the body of Christ. As November heralds the dying of the landscape in many northern regions, the readings and liturgy call us to remember all who have died in Christ and whose baptism is complete. At the Lord's table we gather with the faithful of every time and place, trusting that the promises of God will be fulfilled and that all tears will be wiped away in the new Jerusalem.
