Can I have a

•WORD?

(A) MOVING: (SALE)

(A sale of paintings) producing strong emotion, especially sympathy.
Synonyms: affecting, touching, poignant, heartwarming, heart-rending, emotional, disturbing.

Also, wrt MOVING, we are actually moving somewhere else soon, things sorted in boxes, full tank of gas, map in hand and off we go. All but the essential paintings sold. End of the year, that's it. We're gone.

Anyway: until the dust settles on new home, wherever that is, I need to reduce my holdings as much as a I can, and that means, you know it's coming, ABSURDLY LOW PRICES. The kind of prices that make my friends CRINGE.
I should hate to sell stuff at these prices. But I don't. Perversely—as my business gurus see things—I enjoy it. When selling a whole passel of paintings at a moving sale I'll often feel so light, so free, unencumbered. My moon is in Sag so I have to be able to Run for the Horizon at any time. I don't want to overload my pony.
First come first served: with all stretched canvas paintings we will include one of these 6" X 12" oil-on-paper works! While Supplies Last!

You can't cheat Death.

•But you can work with her.

I haven't been doing much painting lately. My mind is almost entirely on An Intimate Evening with Death Herself. Different scripts, different takes, always differences. The show has been going on for almost 10 years now. 15 shows so far, but that count is definitely going up, soon, and by a lot. Also, too, movie scripts are hard!

NEW Pre-Reg Card coming out soon. (Working copy below) We hand these out at all the shows. Back and front of card shown. Picture rows of cubicles, minions working on huge stacks of these cards.

Upcoming performances:
•Prescott, AZ in November
•Fringe Festival, Nevada City, CA in January and February 2015
•Santa Fe, NM in February or April, date not set yet
•YOUR HOME TOWN HERE ? We're all for House Concerts.
Can you get 25-40 people in your living room? WE'RE ON IT.

We have friends working on getting the show into the hospice space, that is, for the employees, caregivers, and eventually, we hope, the clients.

Maybe some day we can have hospitals that no longer hide, or feel the need to hide, the death, and more to the point, the dying, in their midst.

Ask any Jungian what happens when you try to hide, or hide from, the darker side of things, the shadows. Resistance is futile; everything will be revealed.

But don't get me wrong, the show is funny.

There happened to be some hospice workers at the second show in Taos. They were overjoyed at the show and thought that putting it into the hospice setting was a smashing idea. I agree. We'll let you know more when things move along a little but farther.

It's been a weirdly long time to be working on one project. Along the way you can't help but have doubts, serious 3 a.m. doubts, about the value or quality of what you're doing. So it's extra lovely when people start to ask you to perform, instead of the other way around.

You can sign up—on the home page—for another email list specifically about the performance and not be bothered with constant painting sale pitches.

May I tell you about my

•VIDEOS?

If someone asks me what I do that I most enjoy, it's video. Even these short ones of some guy in the desert talking about God and creativity and cockroaches and 400ppm and NSA and collective consciousness. You might like them, too. Many people do.

I hope you all have a lovely wonderful
