Lesson 462: God's Child
Because Christ is sufficient, our anger can be replaced with joy; hardness with gentleness.
The good old days are future; walking faithfully with Christ, our last years can be our finest.
I can leave a legacy to future generations: that God’s grace was sufficient, even for me.
Any Christian can. Even if our life was ordinary. Christ is memorable; He will endure.
The work He has done in us, the way He changed us, is not a tribute to us but to Him.
But even this exchange of God’s characteristics for ours is not the ultimate miracle.
God’s promise to change us goes far deeper than our personality, the things we do & say.
Even when we stumble and our character fails, God’s work in us will never fail.
Our body will eventually yield to the ravages of time. But God’s work in us is eternal.
His Son provides our righteousness; God preserves it. Nothing can snatch it from Him.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
