BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Three children are born into a privileged family in early twentieth-century China, each destined to face a dramatic struggle for survival. Set against the backdrop of political instability and war, The Dragon Phoenix Bracelet follows the fortunes of the siblings as they try to negotiate life in a changing society.

Looking for a more intense creative retreat to take your writing potential to the next level? The first-ever AFCC 2015 Writers & Illustrators Retreat has in store for youone-on-one consultations, short workshops/activities and a chance to polish your work at AFCC's pitching clinic!
Sarah Odedina, Managing Director of Hot Key Books, award-winning children’s book author Candy Gourlay and internationally acclaimed author and illustrator Joelle Jolivet are the facilitators in the retreat. The Director of the retreat is Andrea Pasion-Flores, a literary agent with the Jacaranda Literary Agency.
Date: 30 May - 2 June 2015 (Saturday to Tuesday) Fee: S$600 (including admission to the Writers & Illustrators Conference) Venue: Angsana Bintan Hotels and Resorts Submission: Applicants are required to submit their work. Participants for the retreat will be selected based on their submissions. Guidelines for the submission can be found on the AFCC website.
