Reach for the Stars
Join us as we take a closer look at the night sky. Participants will enjoy a sky navigation tour, telescope use, hot cider and more. $2/person. Register

December 6
Snow Full Moon Hike

Leave the flashlights at home for this unique hiking adventure! These hikes are designed for the whole family and average an hour-and-a-half of walking and observing. No dogs please. $2/person, park entry fee waived. Register

December 21
Winter Solstice Celebration
Celebrate the first day of winter with us! We will go on a short night hike and then gather around the campfire for a marshmallow roast and solstice celebration that will include the burning of a yule log. Please bring your own mug to enjoy a hot beverage. No dogs please. Register.

Join us from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6 for a Raven Full Moon Hike. Leave the flashlights at home for this unique hiking adventure designed for the whole family. These hikes average an hour-and-a-half of walking and observing. No dogs, please. Registration is $2 per person, and the park entry fee is waived. Register here.

UPDATE ON TRAIL CLOSURES:

Reconstruction work to paved trails caused by flood damage continues throughout the park. The Army Corps of Engineers has begun work on the service road over the north side of the dam. Coupled with existing trail repair projects, this means the following:

A mile-long section of the paved trail on the south side of Bear Creek Reservoir continues to be closed due to construction
No east/west paved trail access is available through Bear Creek Lake Park
Bikes should detour to Morrison Road or Quincy Avenue
Access to C-470 Trail South is open
All trail work is scheduled for completion by January 2015
