When it comes to social media, big ideas aren’t always better. Sometimes, it’s the most easy-to-execute tactics that drive the best results.

Case in point? Lens Factory. Their Twitter strategy is brilliant in its simplicity: Find people talking about needing lenses, reach out and offer a discount to order through Lens Factory, and then track direct revenue from the code. No contests, no gimmicks, just a simple tweet – one that now drives 10 percent of the company’s revenue. Quick, smart, effective … and further proof that sometimes the best social strategies come in small packages.

 Lesson Learned
It’s easy to get caught up in the need for creative content and clever campaigns, but don’t lose sight of the basics. Sometimes, that's where the magic happens.
