WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PRAYER I CAN PRAY?

As we close out our sermon series on the prayers of Paul this week, I am excited to conclude with what I consider to be the most simple and yet profound prayer in the New Testament:

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."
– 2 Corinthians 13:14

This coming Sunday, we will explore what is the shortest, simplest and yet one of the most profound prayers that we can ever learn to pray. A prayer that not only teaches us about God but also about ourselves. My hope for us this week is that we will walk away encouraged, blessed and equipped to pray for not only ourselves but those around us with what I consider to be the greatest prayer of them all.

The focus will be on Advent with plenty of time to visit and enjoy each other. There will be a Special Advent devotional available to take home written by women from our church. Invite other women to join you!

Volunteers will be available to sub for all women who wish to attend the Advent event but are currently teaching children’s Sunday School. Contact Julie Chestnut for more details.

Men's Event: Trading Up. All men and High School boys are invited for donuts, fellowship and to watch the "Trading Up" DVD with Andy Stanley.

Upcoming A&E Classes
Begin Sun., Dec. 7 :: 10:15-11a

We are gearing up for another great season of note worthy A&E (Acquaint & Equip) classes! We hope you will plan to participate so that you might:

1) KNOW GOD better 2) CONNECT with PEOPLE and
3)
be equipped to SHARE CHRIST with someone you know!

On Sunday, you will receive a flyer with a list of classes being offered; please let us know which one you plan to take by checking the appropriate box on the flyer. Completing the flyer doesn't mean you can't change your mind; it just helps give us an idea so we can assign classrooms accordingly, as well as know how many books to order. We appreciate your feedback!

Please pray:

  • Pray for good relationships with all those with whom they are in contact, that God be glorified.
  • Pray for students who are struggling with academics and/or attitudes.
  • Pray for the Covenant World Relief conference in Bamenda, Cameroon, Nov. 7-14.
  • Praise God for the Drama Evangelism Team and their outreach at two sports tournaments. Pray for the girl’s basketball team seeking God as a result of this outreach. Also, pray for upcoming drama outreaches in November to the Baka pygmie village.
