Dual Screen Option
The dual Dynon touchscreen is now officially available as an optional extra on the RV-12 S-LSA.  Both screens are individually configurable and a simple “swap” command flips the right side display to the left, and vice versa.  Perfect for giving instruction or just taking maximum advantage of the large panel, the dual Skyview option adds to the already outstanding value of the RV-12. Fall Flight Over NJ
Brent Connelly hooked a GoPro camera to his airplane and has been posting some awesome videos on YouTube showing the kind of fun flying that can be done with an RV-12. Here's a link to our favorite, a fall flight over the beautiful countryside around Sky Manor Airport in New Jersey, with some great music and a sporty crosswind landing at the end!
Copperstate Trip Report
Last month Joe Blank and Kaitlyn Tepe proved the fine cross-country capabilities of the RV-12 S-LSA with an epic 2,000 mile round trip to the Copperstate fly-in, visiting a selection of flight schools along the way. Joe posted two trip reports and lots of great photos on the Van's Aircraft Facebook page.  Part 1 : Part 2
Sebring Coming Up
Mark your calendars for January 14-17 for "The Affordable Aircraft Expo" - an expanded and rebranded event at Sebring, Florida. .It's one of the best shows on the calendar and we'll be there in force with aircraft on display and demo flights available. We should fit in well with the event's new name - with a base price of just $115,000 and low operating costs, the RV-12 S-LSA is one of the most affordable brand new aircraft on the market!
Flight Across the Rockies
Back in March Robert Allan Stokes, picked up his brand new RV-12 S-LSA from the Van’s Aircraft factory in Aurora, OR.  He recently emailed us these great photos from the flight back home to Colorado (over the Rocky Mountains) with his son Robert Curtis Stokes. What a great family adventure! Robert Sr and Jr are still enjoying their new plane and have put about 40 hours on it since March.

Video: How the Rotax 912 is Made
It's a little known fact that Rotax has shipped over 50,000 of the Rotax 912 series, making it one of the most successful aero-engines in history.  In this exclusive video, AVweb's Paul Bertorelli takes us on a fascinating behind-the-scenes tour of the production facility, where at peak production a new engine comes off the line every 3 or 4 minutes.
