The week in prolife news...
The big story this week has been the astonishing and cowardly decision by an Oxford college to cancel a debate about abortion organised by Oxford Students For Life, in the face of intimidation and threats of disruption by pro-abortion activists.

This attack on free speech has generated an enormous amount of comment. Isabel Hardman at The Spectator took the students to task for their censoriousness and hostility to debate, as did Brendan O'Neill. Tim Stanley, who was to represent the pro-life side at the debate, published his planned speech in the Catholic Herald. Philippa Taylor from the Christian Medical Fellowship also wrote an excellent article on the issue

The story is even making headlines across the pond

LIFE's comment can be read here.

There are two important blogs on the LIFE website. The first looks at the question of whether it can ever be right to divide human beings into persons and non-persons. The second is a guest blog by Dr Philippa Taylor of the Christian Medical Fellowship, looking at the details of the abortion industry.

In other news, a woman who gave birth at just 23 weeks of pregnancy has supported calls for the abortion limit to be lowered.

And finally, yet more doubts and difficulties have emerged regarding three-parent IVF.
