As we look to 2015, we are more committed than ever to growing inspired, informed, creative, and collaborative kids through this innovative educational approach. But we need your help...
Since 1979, our garden-based education programs have made science, math and language arts exciting and relevant for tens of thousands of children in our region. Our pioneering programs and expertise have made Life Lab a national leader in these movements. This year over 2,000 educators from 20 states are using Life Lab training and curricula to change the lives and futures of more than 50,000 students in their garden classrooms. We also connect teachers and organizations across the U.S. to share best practices and models for sustaining their programs.
In 2015, we hope to offer new garden-based science, nutrition and environmental lessons in easy to access formats, in print and online. We look forward to sharing these and new trainings with educators through the National School Garden Network, FoodCorps, edWeb.net and other regional and national learning communities.
Over the coming weeks, you can expect to hear more from Life Lab on the ways that we are growing healthy, inspired children locally and cultivating this movement nationally.
