It’s a really full-on time of year for many of us with the race to the Christmas break heating up.

The team at All Right? has been super busy too with new research, fresh social media videos and a new phase of the campaign about to roll out.

As always, our latest news is below and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any feedback or thoughts…

New research shows stress levels remain high

All Right? has just completed our latest round of qualitative research on how Cantabrians are faring.

This comprised focus groups involving nearly 100 Cantabrians.  Overall, it showed the prevalent feelings in the community are stress and tiredness with people finding themselves incredibly busy.

What is pleasing is that we also found a growing sense of excitement as the rebuild progresses.

The findings of this research will be released early next year along with the quantitative research that is now underway.

Take a Breather...

The next phase of our campaign is about to roll out.

Take a Breather is about encouraging Cantabrians to think of ways they can recharge – whether it’s a short walk, a catch up with friends/family or reading a book.

The timing of the campaign – in the lead up to Christmas - is no coincidence...we all know the stresses this time of year can bring as our ‘to do’ lists grow along with financial and family pressures.

The campaign was developed on the back of our research which shows people are doing less to look after themselves than in 2012…fewer people are doing regular exercise, fewer are sleeping and eating well regularly and connecting with others.

Take a Breather will be coming to billboards, bus stops and other advertising spaces from Monday.  We are developing posters and a postcard campaign as part of this so stay tuned.  In the meantime, here’s a sneak peak…

Take a Breather has been designed to graphically show just how busy life can be and the space around the heading is designed to draw attention to the messaging.

We are a Summer Starter

All Right? is one of the key sponsors of The Press Summer Starter – a 10km and 4km fun run and walk on Sunday, 30 November 2014.

Becoming a sponsor has enabled us to reach thousands of Cantabrians with fresh information on wellbeing.

One of the great ways we’re leveraging this opportunity is by having wellbeing stations on the course – each based on one of the five ways to wellbeing.  We can’t give too much away but it’s safe to say that, participants are definitely in for a lot of surprises along the route.

Everyone’s also welcome at the party which will be held at the finish line in Redcliffs Domain where Ladi 6 will headline and the All Righties will lead the way with some stretching exercises and yoga to help those who’ve taken part recover.

There’ll be music, food and fun at the Domain until 2pm on the day – we can’t wait to see you there.

All Right? works to improve Cantabrians’ mental health and wellbeing post quakes.

We focus on promoting the small things we can do to give ourselves and others a boost. We actively research the impacts of the earthquakes and the stress they’re causing.

Canterbury’s people are the most important aspect of our recovery and All Right? will continue to ensure we are all feeling the best we can.
