HiSKidZ NEWS
HiSKidZ K-6th have started a new lesson series entitled, "God Speaks!"
Does God really speak to kids? You betcha! In the coming weeks we will be learning together that God didn't just speak to people in the Bible days, but that He is speaking to us today and we need to listen and follow.
This week we are learning about God speaking to Abraham and His promise to give him a son and make him the father of many nations. God spoke to Abraham and God wants to speak to us, too.
Our power verse this week reminds us that Jesus said,
We want to help HiSKidZ know God's voice, hear Him when He speaks and follow where He leads.
PARENTS DAY OUT!!
Be sure to get signed up for Parents Day Out. This will be a great day for HiSKidZ to spend the day at church playing, eating lunch, decorating Christmas cookies, making a Christmas gift for parents, watching a movie and more while YOU HAVE A GREAT TIME getting some shopping or errands done.
Cost is $10 per child with a $20 per family maximum charge. We will be taking the first 30 children (ages 2-6th grade) with paid registrations, and a waiting list will be used if necessary. Event envelopes are available at the KidCheck Kiosks.

I love ornament night! It's always a little crazy, but these little treasures that we make are spiritual markers in HiSKidZ lives that stay with them forever.
This Wednesday, Nov 19, HiSKidZ will be making ornaments at KidZRocK. It's a HiSKidZ tradition to make an ornament with a connection to a spiritual truth we have been learning about.
HiSKidZ make their ornament and it goes on the HiSKidZ tree in the foyer. Then after Christmas we take them down and send them home so you can put them on your tree next year.
This year's ornament will fit our "Take Me to Your Leader" theme and will help HiSKidZ share Jesus with someone just by showing them their ornament.
KidZRocK is for children K-6th grade and meets from 6-7:15 in the main building at NTCC
Truth in the Tinsel isn't just for preschoolers. In fact, I love that "littles" and "bigs" can all have fun with this tool for keeping Christ in Christmas. You can purchase the advent book, Truth in the Tinsel online at http://truthinthetinsel.com/
This is a great little resource to help bring the meaning of Christmas into the hearts of our children. For each day leading up to Christmas there is a Bible reading, a simple ornament craft and talking points for the whole family. I bought a copy to do at home with Mr Tim. I keep a copy in my office, so come on and check it out anytime.
