Girl Power is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in Liberty City in 2000. With a commitment to serving inner-city girls between the ages of 11 and 17 and their families, Girl Power aims to alleviate illiteracy, empowering girls by fostering self-esteem and promoting academic achievement, ultimately reducing the number of girls entering the juvenile justice system. Girl Power is a safe space to go to after school, where they can make friends, learn, grow and have fun!
