"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever."

-Psalm 136:1-
Thank you to each of you who gave towards our Christmas campaign this year! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to gather over 100 gifts and shoes for our kids! Thank you for your prayers, support, and generous hearts - we are so thankful for each one of you!

Isadora's Story

We wanted to take a moment and share the redemptive story of the youngest little girl in our home, Isadora. God has been working in amazing ways in her life, and we would like to say thank you for all of your prayers and the ways you have supported children like her!

When Isadora, also known as “Zazou,” joined our home last year, she was only a few months old. She was extremely shy and only took to a few caretakers after her mother had abandoned her and her older sister, Shakira. We soon noticed that Isadora was suffering from a difficult past, even at her young age. If a man entered the room or she heard a male voices, she often would show unmistakable signs of fear, clinging to female staff members and crying when they would put her down.

But as we cared for her, nurtured her, and prayed over her health physically, mentally and spiritually, we began to see this baby start to flourish, and become a little girl. She now loves to sing worship songs, and recently even took the microphone at our community worship service and fearlessly sang in front of all the kids in the homes and surrounding community. She is learning quickly and can already count to ten.

It has also been so sweet to watch her relationship develop with her older sister, Shakira. They often are found sharing with each other, giggling and showing affection with a hug or a kiss. A little girl who was often seen with a frown and quickly overcome by fear is now a face lit up with joy. Her spirit of fear was overcome by a home that is full of security and love of the Jesus. We count it an honor and a privilege to watch her grow into a confident woman of God. Like her nickname Zazou (Zwazo means bird in Haitian Creole), we can’t wait to see her take flight on wings like an eagle and soar to new heights of freedom.
Ever wondered how you can stay involved with the ministry of Child Hope International even after you have left Haiti? Want to help, but don't have the means to give financially right now? Well, we have good news for you! We'd like to introduce The Go Packet.

The Go Packet is designed as a tool to share about the ministry of Child Hope International with your own community – friends, family members, your church, or school. Whoever your audience is, we want to equip you as best as possible to share the story of Child Hope and give others tangible ways that they can get involved! We provide the packet free of charge, and it includes: a DVD of the CHI Ministry Overview, child sponsorship packets, fliers about CHI, and resources and tips for getting others involved.

If you are interested in spreading the story of Child Hope to your own community, we encourage you to contact us and get a Go Packet sent your way!

Out of the 35 children who we currently care for in our boys' and girls' homes, 24 of them are not fully sponsored for their basic needs such as food, water, clothing, medical care, and education.

While we have measures in place to ensure that all of our kids are fully taken care of, we would love to bring this number down to zero and have every single child be fully sponsored! Visit our website to browse through the boys' and girls' stories and prayerfully consider making an eternal investment in the life of a child in Haiti!
