Happy Thanksgiving from The Bucheles
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 20 - All day I was telling my students "Happy Thanksgiving!" It wasn't until Suzanne and I were at the airport, sitting down to eat pre-flight takeout and I commented on our "Thanksgiving Dinner†that she laughed at me and said "It is next week." So much for staying current with life in America.
We are so thankful and feel so blessed to be living and serving in Ghana in partnership with our friends and family. In this edition of PrayerMatters we want to let you know on November 30th will be doing a presentation at our sending Church, St. Philip's United Methodist Church, and let you know about an opportunity to add your name to the donor wall in support of the new engineering program that Suzanne has been working on.
Steve & Suzanne Live and in Person – November 30
When you receive this, we will be somewhere over the ocean flying back to the States to attend Suzanne’s extended family five year reunion. While in Texas, we will share how God is blessing our work in Ghana. The presentation is open to all, so if you want to see us, or hear more about what has been happening in the village and on the campus, come see us.
Sunday, November 30 12:15pm

New Engineering Building on the Ashesi Campus
Put Your Name on Engineering a Better Africa
Join us in engineering a better Africa and ensure the fall 2015 Engineering Program launch. All donors who give or make a pledge of $500 or more by December 31, 2014 will have their name listed on the donor wall of the new engineering building.
Ashesi Empowers Young Africans
In Ashesi’s first decade, the University established a track record of empowering young Africans with the motivation and the skills to address Africa’s challenges. Ashesi fostered ethics, innovation and entrepreneurship in a diverse, pan-African student body. 100% of Ashesi graduate to find quality placement, and 95% stay in Africa. These students launch new ventures, develop innovative and pragmatic solutions to local needs, and help grow Africa’s private sector.
You can help Ashesi to develop a new approach to engineering in Africa.
Africa needs better designed infrastructure, and new, affordable products that meet local needs. Ashesi’s groundbreaking new engineering major, with an emphasis on design, problem solving and entrepreneurship, will help redefine engineering education in Africa and drive the important innovations that Africa needs.
Put your Name on the Engineering Donor Wall
Join our friends to help us engineer a better Africa and ensure the fall 2015 Engineering Program launch. All donors who give or make a pledge of $500 or more by December 31, 2014 will have their name listed on the donor wall of the new engineering building.
Every gift builds a better future for Africa
Donations will help support the construction of new classroom and laboratory buildings, the procurement of laboratory equipment and supplies, and the costs of establishing a new program, such as faculty salaries, textbooks, and operating expenses over the program’s first four years. After four years, the engineering program is projected to be operationally self-sustaining like all Ashesi programs.

What we will do If ... (Ebola comes to Ghana)
One month ago, Ebola in Ghana was thought to be more of a WHEN than IF. What a difference a month makes and thankfully, it seem that Ebola will not come to Ghana, but if it had, this was our plan.
