Watch over your children, O Lord, as their days increase. Bless them and guide them wherever they may be. Strengthen them where they stand. Comfort them when discouraged or lonely. Raise them up when they fall, and in their hearts, may your peace that passes all understanding, abide with them for ever.  In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Hamilton House Toy Drive

We are organizing a toy drive for Hamilton Family Center. The wish cards will be available on the Sunday after Thanksgiving (11/30).  The gifts are due NO FAIL the following Sunday December 7, and will be delivered the next day to the Hamilton House.   Contact Jamie http://jamiehowelln@aol.com if you wish to pick a child's wish card early, and Fabienne http://fblancquarterman@gmail.com if you need the toys picked up at your house on Monday 12/8.  Gifts must be between $40 & $60.  Most kids wished for physical items.  If you would prefer to just buy a card, that's ok: we will also collect gift cards.  Each card must be $25, from Target, Safeway, Best Buy or Old Navy.  The extra cards will be used as gifts for the parents.

Our Parish Prayer list:

Praying for each other, and each other's needs as well as our own is a vital part of our practice of faith.  I have heard some concerns over recent weeks that our prayer list (that you see at the end of each Sunday's bulletin) might not be as up to date as might be useful.
I'm wondering how you would feel about our attempting to make sure that this Prayer LIst is up to date?
I would like to suggest that we start at Ground Zero on the first Sunday of Advent, (November 30), and request that all names are resubmitted at that time.  We will make every effort to contact the appropriate folk to check on the status of the names before leaving any off.
Going forward from there, I will keep a list of submitted names along with the names of those who have submitted them.
In love,
 Jane+
