LA SÉDUCTION DE L’INCERTITUDE

A striking glimpse into the vibrant new music scene emerging in Québec today, presented by three of Toronto's top new music interpreters. Composers featured here include Patrick Giguère, Analia Llugdar and Maxime McKinley. This concert is curated by Toronto’s own, Québec-connected, Brian Harman.

A premiere performance of a new solo guitar work by CMC Toronto Emerging Composer Award winner Jason Doell and a rare presentation of Helmut Lachenmann's massive work for two guitars, Salut fur Caudwell. Presented by Contact Contemporary Music, with guest artist Marc-Olivier Lamontagne.

Nonclassical Global

The Canadian Music Centre is proud to be helping to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Gabriel Prokofiev's label, Nonclassical.

We’re one of five venues in five different countries coming together to celebrate ten years of groundbreaking releases on Nonclassical. For the first time, Nonclassical will present as a transcontinental live streamed event, where audiences will get a glimpse of the diverse alt-classical scenes reaching across the globe in 2014.

We’re also excited to present a series of new pieces written specially for the occasion, scored for a unique ensemble spanning the five cities that are hosting the event: Toronto, New York, Sao Paolo, Basel and London.
