Dear Maendeleo Supporters,
We have not sent many emails this Summer as in the past, so it is a good time to catch up with us. We would love to share a few updates:-
1. New Board Member:
We are happy to announce Mr. Nathan Chiume has accepted to join Maendeleo Board. He was voted unanimously by Members of the Board in our sitting of Nov 2014. Mr Chiume brings a wealth of experience in social media and will be a good asset to team Maendeleo. Please join us in congratulating Nathan.
2. Team Tanzania Scholar Award 2014:
For a few years now, we have successfully suported medical students in Bugando (CUHAS), KCM College and Herbert Kairuki Memorial Medical College. We are happy to report we have sent funds to two of three schools, and third one will be sent shortly. University officials are as excited as we are in continuing to meet our commitment year by year. We will share with you this years students names and testimonials shortly.
3. 10-Year Anniversary Fundraising:
This year we celebrate 10 years of Maendeleo. It is quite a remarkable milestone. We planned to raise US$10,000 for this years goal. We are happy to report, we have raised about 57% of the goal. We are behind but we believe in generosity of supporters like you to reach this goal before this year's end.
