It is way too easy to fall in to the trap of thinking that the tasks on our calendar for the day are absolutely, positively the most important things to do today. A challenge for you:
- Do you remember what was on your calendar four weeks back?
My guess is that most of us can’t remember even one item on the calendar from four weeks back. Now let’s turn this around a bit. Suppose that you put the following – or even one of the following – recurring activities on your calendar for Mondays:
- Journal and reflect
- Reach out to someone and thank them for what they did last week
- Exercise
My guess is that if you put these on your calendar you would be a bit more likely to remember them four weeks from now. Further, my guess is that you would actually look forward to these calendar items.
My question to you is as follows:
- Will you spend your time on the most important things today?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me and have a great week!
