This Thursday is the first of 4 performances of It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry. It's the story you know & love, performed as a 1940s radio play complete with live foley sound effects on stage!
This will be Cake Productions' 3rd annual benefit performance of this crowd-pleasing holiday classic. (You may recall that I acted in & co-produced Chiori Miyagawa's This Lingering Life with them at HERE this fall, directed by Cat Miller.)
This year in Bedford Falls I am back in the director's chair, as well as playing multiple roles along with an excellent cast.

Next Monday will be Route 66 Rodeo's first Roadside Attractions Reading Series.
As you can guess from the title of the series, each short play is inspired by a different Roadside Attraction. There is The Last Christmas at Wally's Wigwam Motor Lodge, a great new holiday play by Alison Crane, author of R66R'sThe Abduction of Becky Morris and Coyote Katie's Return (FringeNYC 2012 & 2014, respectively). Also on the playbill is It's a Wonderful Drink by Todd Faulkner, set in Pops Soda Ranch on Route 66, and my play, The Gift of Bemidji, set at the feet of the Paul Bunyan statue in Bemidji, Minnesota.

I had a lot of fun workshopping Jeff Tabnick's dreamily absurd play Tonight at Noon just before the Thanksgiving holiday at the Drilling CompaNY and directed by Eric Nightengale. Hopefully you will be hearing more about this play from me very soon!
