 A Message from Chuck Chadwick...
Another year closes out this month and we want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!
Our Founding Scripture | 1 Chronicles 9:21 – 24 Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was keeper of the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 22 All those chosen as Gatekeepers were two hundred and twelve. They were recorded by their genealogy, in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them to their trusted office. 23 So they and their children were in charge of the gates of the house of the Lord, the house of the tabernacle, by assignment. 24 The Gatekeepers were assigned to the four directions: the east, west, north, and south.
This year has been a great year for our Gatekeepers as we have reached a true biblical landmark of reaching over 212 certified and licensed church security officers. We are very pleased to say that not one of our Gatekeeper churches has had a significant security incident (kidnapping, shooting, etc.).
Each week we pray for our Gatekeepers to have wisdom and discernment. We believe that God has answered our prayers and protected us all from the evil that is so prevalent in our world today. As this world grows ever darker with evil each passing day we continue to be watchful and faithful.
I know that each one of our Gatekeepers stands watch over their people and strive to be the model of diligence that God has appointed them to be. Know this; we are saved by grace, but we store up treasures in heaven with the works that we do here on earth. Their work as Gatekeepers hold a special place in God’s kingdom. We keep our eyes open and watchful so that others may bow and worship in solace and peace with eyes closed. We stand at the door so that others may kneel at the foot of the cross. God will not forget the sacrifices that they, as Gatekeepers, make to keep the rest secure.
2015 will certainly have its times of testing their wills and skills as Gatekeepers. The world IS NOT GETTING BETTER. Rejoice in what good times we will have for there is a storm coming that will try men’s will and skills. Now is not the time to relax and become complacent. Satan never sleeps.
God has truly blessed the Gatekeepers family of companies. Here are a few of the blessings from this past year;
- The national organization (NOCSSM) had our tenth annual church security conference at New Life Church in Colorado Springs.
- Our security school, The Christians Security Institute, now has a fantastic 50 acre firearms training facility just minutes from our indoor facility in Frisco, Texas north of Dallas.
- Churches continue to come on board with our Gatekeeper certification program which puts armed, intervention capable people at the ready to protect our congregations.
- Christian schools are implementing our Gatekeepers program to put a hedge of protection around our children.
I believe that the time is here for others to join in the fight by giving their will, skills and resources. But let me warn them that this is not a fight for the weak hearted. This is not an opportunity to make extra cash on the backs of our churches. This is not a retirement plan. This is a time for sacrifice and hard work. Satan will put up every obstacle in his bag of tricks. You will be criticized, rebuked, made fun of and told that only law enforcement or military should do this work. You will be filled with doubt, uncertainty and hesitation.
There have been many others that have burst onto the scene with fanfare and boastfulness and then faded into obscurity. Since we started thirteen years ago we have never had any angel investors, no rich person footing the bills, no mega-church pastor pushing our wagon. It has been only God and us striving to convince churches that our cause is just. In every state, city and church there are men and women with incredible assets and resources that could contribute to this effort. In this time of coming trials it is time for them to step forward.
